Head Coach - Sakura
Lyndsay Burrows is a mother of two boys, a teacher, an entrepreneur, a leader, and a visionary. Her mission is to inspire happy, healthy, and peaceful lives. From Toronto, Ontario, Lyndsay fell in love with Figure Skating at the age of seven. During her skating career Lyndsay competed as a National Team member in Synchronized Skating on Novice, Junior, and Senior Teams with many opportunities to compete throughout Canada, the US, and Europe. In addition to coaching with the GVSSC, Lyndsay coaches with and mentors under the incredible coaching staff at Coquitlam Skating Club. Lyndsay enjoys working with skaters from all levels and is passionate about sharing her love and knowledge for figure skating and Synchronized Skating. When not coaching, teaching, or managing, Lyndsay loves to travel with her family, further her studies, and volunteer her time.
Head Coach - Cypress
Katie is a highly experienced synchronized skater, competing with Gold Ice Junior for four seasons, winning two bronze Junior World Challenge Cup medals with the team. She also competed with the Queen’s Varsity Figure Skating Team throughout her university career and has pursued synchronized skating in every city she has lived in. Now a certified civil engineer, Katie is a born problem solver, and loves to bring skaters together to work towards a common goal.
Coach - Sakura
Alexa competed both nationally and internationally for several years representing Canada at the senior level in ice dance and medalling in several events. Alexa previously competed in singles, and went to junior nationals in pairs before focusing on dance with Megan Wing and Aaron Lowe. Recently, Alexa has been coaching full time with Connaught Skating Club where she works with their singles skaters and is on their coaching team developing their very own pairs program. Graduating with a BA from SFU in Health Sciences Alexa is currently at Douglas attaining pre-nursing requirements. Alexa is in the process of attaining her NCCP Level 3 trained status. Specializing in skating skills and choreography, Alexa brings great experience to GVSSC and supports skater and program development.
